William Chris Vineyards
What began as an acquaintance as winemakers in the Hill Country became a collaboration between Bill and Chris focusing on a shared winemaking philosophy. As the word 'winegrowers' implies Bill and Chris agree that great wines are not made but grown. They also believe that wine should be inspired by the pleasure that is shared with an extended community of friends and family. The creation of each new vintage depends greatly upon these two priorities. Bill and Chris bottled their first vintage under the William Chris label in 2008 utilizing Old-World winemaking techniques to create a genuine expression of the Hill Country's distinctive terroir. The Old-World method integrates farming tradition and local culture and Bill and Chris kept this in mind as they sought out a property to build their winery. Deciding on a pioneer farm settlement in the historic town of Hye Texas they began the project to restore the 1905 Washburn/ Deike farmhouse the future William Chris Tasting Room. The Hye property was acquired in 2009. With the winery and tasting facilities completed in 2011 they planted the Hye Estate Vineyard next to the winery in March of 2012. Today Bill and Chris continue to reach for a level of quality that represents the very best of Texas in each new vintage. It is with confidence in their process and pride in their families community and this special place that they inscribe each bottle of William Chris with this greeting: We are pleased to share a piece of our world.

The Zagaria family is part of and promotes the agricultural cooperative "Terre di Federico sac" made up of 30 members who cultivate with experience and passion approximately 700 hectares of land intended for the production of industrial tomatoes, spinach, celery, parsley, cabbage, turnip greens, asparagus, other season oil olives wine grapes percoche nectarines and wheat. All our land is located mainly in the central area of Puglia in the north of Bari near Andria, the cooperative's registered office and in Basilicata, thus covering all the production areas of the products indicated above. In order to guarantee the maximum quality and safety of its production, the cooperative follows the protocol of the integrated management production regulations, is GLOBALGAP certified and has the Bioagricert organic certification. It also respects the provisions of the adoption of the HACCP System (Legislative Decree 155/97) with which it guarantees the safety and quality of food and adopts the new obligations relating to safety at work (DVR Legislative Decree n.81/08).

Saltire Estate was born in 2006 when the Leslie family acquired land that was originally part of the much larger George Hunter Estate established by the Sydney restauranteur, Oliver Shaul in the 1970s. Our Semillon, Chardonnay, Shiraz and Merlot vines are all that remain of the 500 acre estate. Not many people know that the original vines planted in the Hunter Valley were planted by proud Scot, James Busby in the early 1830s. Known as the father of Australian wine, Busby brought 500 cuttings from Europe to Australia and planted them in the Hunter region of Belford. It is from these vines that the majority of existing Hunter Valley vineyards were propagated.

International Cheese Awards
The show started in 1897 and continues to grow year on year attracting over 4 500 entries from across the world. Today it is proud to be the biggest and best cheese and dairy show in the world. The awards are a two-day event held on the last Tuesday and Wednesday of July. Day one is the judging and trade day attended by industry participants and press. Approximately 200 judges from the cheese and dairy industry will sample all the entries all hoping to win the Supreme Champion trophy for the best cheese overall in show. Day two is scheduled to coincide with the Nantwich and South Cheshire Agricultural Show and attracts over 40 000 visitors. It is a fantastic day out for all the family with plenty to see and do with main ring attractions displays and of course loads of cheese to taste and buy.
