You know. Sardo Piemontese Sementi is a Social Cooperative made up of 15 agricultural companies that produces rice seeds and markets them in Europe, Morocco, Turkey, Russia and Brazil. The headquarters is located in the heart of Vercelli next to the historic Rice Exchange. Sapise has been able to differentiate its activities over time by investing not only in the production of seeds, but also in experimental research and in the creation of special rice for consumption. In 1989 Sapise created its own Rice Research Center which is now equipped with the main structures aimed at genetic improvement and varietal constitution without the use of GMOs. Among the flagships of the Sapise varieties we remember the Venere black rice known throughout the world, the Ermes wholemeal red rice but also all-Italian aromatic rice such as Basmati and sushi rice, products that represent a new excellence in the gastronomic panorama of Made in Italy. These rices are grown in Sardinia in the Tirso Oasis in the province of Oristano and in Piedmont between the provinces of Vercelli and Novara, territories with a rice-growing vocation par excellence. In the field of seeds, Sapise is equipped with three selection and processing plants which guarantee the highest quality standards and high yield. The varieties produced range from conventional rice seeds such as Carnaroli Roma and Baldo to Clearfield varieties created for environmental respect in collaboration with Basf and innovative hybrid varieties created in collaboration with Ricetec.

Ecoagri Serbia is a specialized and EU bio and BioSuisse certified large-scale organic agricultural crop producer and storage provider. While positioned in the agriculturally intense Serbian province of Vojvodina it is perfectly located in its least polluted and picturesque Bela Crkva [White Church Weisskirchen] municipality in South Banat just north of Danube and south of Karpati mountains and in-between two national parks [Deliblatska pescara (SER) to the West and Cheile Nerei (ROM) to the East. Grains obtained by experienced quality production and storage staff are sold per forward and spot contracts in bulk and jumbo bags to demanding large wholesalers in Switzerland and the EU foremost Germany. The proprietary surface of 2 600ha is also registered as a private hunting range. Typically 2 000ha are annually sowed with spelt wheat buckwheat corn millet rye oat sunflower raps etc.. The surface is consolidated in two ranges; the smaller one with 180ha in size has an own court facilities and is located 10km further. Own storage facility devoted to organic grains contains a concrete silo with capacity of 13 500t and a floor warehouse covering 1 600sqm as well as drying and further equipment. Season 2016 grains will be offered also as retail products. General Store LLC is a subsidiary devoted to distribution of organic products. As a side-business the company operates a gravel field and a processing facility thus creating a lake suitable for tourism and organic fish farming. The region is well known for fruits nuts and wine. Ecoagri intends to invest into its own organic orchards as well as animal farming and even hospitality facilities. Devoted equity investors are welcome. The Serbian government currently provides practically no subsidies for organic producers. On its path towards the membership in the EU and for domestic reasons the government will be obliged and expected to improve its current policy.

This is an EU funded project providing training for agricultural stakeholders in the development of agroforestry in the mountain and Mediterranean region The Agrof-MM project "Training in Agroforestry - Mediterranean - Semi-Arid Zones - Mountain" aims to: - Train between 130 and 150 agricultural professionals in Europe and neighboring countries over a three year period - Improve and develop educational tools for training in sustainable agroforestry - Develop a unique agroforestry qualification program in each European country Agrof-MM both reinforces and complements the European project AgroFE which was completed in December 2015. It extends the geographical boundaries of the AgroFE project to encompass the Mediterranean and the mountain areas broadening the level of training and opening it up to new players. Agroforestry can be defined as the integration of woodland vegetation (trees hedges etc.) to crops and / or livestock on the same land. Its environmental and economic benefits have been scientifically proven. These include: reduced use of inputs carbon storage improving soil fertility erosion control biodiversity stimulation better management and protection of water resources and further reducing the cost of production. The training of agricultural stakeholders is fundamental to a new development of agroforestry practices in Europe. Educating is essential not only to publicize this mode of innovative production but also to acquire new skills and knowledge necessary to master the art of agroforestry. The groups which the training programs will target are the following: students farmers and future farmers workers teachers instructors and agricultural consultants. The training resources will be distributed to the following: managers of training centers schools and universities managers of training systems in the regions and the state officials of major professional organizations NGOs and policymakers.

The Nederlandse Vissersbond (Dutch Fishermen's Association) is an interest organisation for Dutch professional fishermen ship owners and crew in sea- coastal- and inland fisheries. Our service is aimed at the sustainable development of the affiliated companies (our members). We offer our members services and products specified to their needs. History On the 4th of May 1934 seven local fisheries associations decided to establish the 'Bond der Nederlandsche Visschersverenigingen' (League of Dutch Fisheries Associations). During the meeting in which the league was established its initiator Mr. J.W. Stevenson adressed the attending members as follows: " One can try to accomplish a lot on a local scale but coastal fishery in general demands a powerful well organized association for the whole country." The following years more fisheries associations joined and in 1936 the name was changed in 'Nederlandse Vissersbond'. Present De Nederlandse Vissersbond has 280+ members mainly fishing enterprises. Our members are active within coastal- sea- and inland fisheries and aqua culture (mussels). Diversity is our strength and ensures the Nederlandse Vissersbond as an important partner for fishermen governments and NGOs. Our network is very extensive and crosses many borders.
