Embrapa Clima Temperado Decentralized unit of the Brazilian Agricultural Research Company linked to the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (MAPA) is located in Pelotas Rio Grande do Sul Brazil. Embrapa Temperate Climate is an Ecoregional Research Unit that develops activities that seek to enable research, development and innovation (RD&I) solutions for the sustainability of agriculture in the temperate climate region for the benefit of society. It aims to be an international reference in the generation of knowledge, technologies and innovation for the sustainable development of temperate climate agriculture. To this end, it operates at its Headquarters and at two Experimental Stations: Cascata (EEC) in Pelotas; and Lowlands (ETB) in Capão do Leão. The Unit has a qualified structure of 25 laboratories. In the 476,000 km² area covered by the Unit in the states of RS SC and center-south of PR, research is carried out on the main regional production systems with special emphasis on the production chains of grains, fruits, milk and vegetables and their interactions with the environment and the market in the search for sustainability. Taft Street Winery continues in the garagistes traditions to this day producing limited production handcrafted wines from select Russian River Valley vineyards. Stop by and discover why all roads lead to Taft Street. We welcome visitors to our tasting room. Open Monday through Friday from 11 AM to 4 PM daily. Open weekends 11 AM to 4:30 PM. We are closed Thanksgiving Day Christmas Day and New Year's Day. The $5/person tasting fee is waived with purchase. Tastings are complimentary for President Club members. It has 40 hectares of vineyards and a small winery equipped with cutting-edge technology to ensure care at each stage of the production of its wines. To carry out this precious project, they combined the capacity and passion of the wine maker Alberto Antonini and the vineyard manager Marcelo Casazza, managing to produce wines that represent a true expression of the viticultural excellence of this privileged area of Argentine Patagonia. WINERY and VINEYARDS The Del Río Elorza Winery currently has 20 hectares planted with Malbec Pinot Noir Merlot Chardonnay Sauvignon Blanc Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. The production process is based on guaranteeing maximum care of the grapes and complete control of all stages.
